Lady Rockets drop close one

The Oak Harbor Rocket girl's basketball team took a trip and step up on the schedule traveling to Toledo to take on the Lady Toledo Whitmer Panthers on Feb 18th.

The Lady Rockets lost a close one, 50-46. It would be close throughout, with the Lady Panthers leading after one quarter, 17-14, and 28-27 at the half.

The Lady Rockets would hit on 43% of their field goals with their defense holding the Lady Panthers to only 38%. The Lady Panthers however would go to the free throw line 19 times compared to only 8 times for the Lady Rockets.

But the Lady Panthers would force the Lady Rockets into 24 turnovers for the game, many early in the game until the Lady Rockets adjusted.

Kayla Diefenthaler would score 15 points and grab 9 rebounds to lead the Lady Rockets. Abby Zurvalec would help with 10 points. Sara Lipstraw, the new Lady Rocket record holder with 3-point field goals, would another to that record and finish with 9 points

Overall the Lady Rockets record stands at 7 wins 11 losses.
