Lady Rockets serve up honors in the classroom

Not only fine tennis players in their own respect, but the Lady Rockets garnered honors for their school studies also.

This week, the Ohio Tennis Coaches' Association presented their Scholar-Athlete Awards for girl's tennis. "Gold Racquet Award" winners must be seniors that have earned two varsity letters in tennis and maintained at least a 3.75 GPA for six semesters.

A "Silver Racquet Award" winner must be a junior who has earned two varsity letters in tennis and maintained at least a 3.75 GPA for four semesters.

Oak Harbor's Gold Racquet Awards went to Emily Macko, Hannah Sigurdson, and Kristina Blatt.

Silver Racquet Awards went to Katie Mehlow and Julia Konieczny.
