Jody Ann Gahler and Joseph Robert Kapp exchange vows

Jody Ann Gahler and Joseph Robert Kapp were married on August 18, 2007 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Blackberry, by Pastor Monty Kaufman. A reception with dinner and dancing followed at Ole Zim's Wagon Shed in Lindsey, OH.

The Bride's dress was a white, halter top, A line with a semi cathedral length train. Both the dress and train were adorned with silver and iridescent beading. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses and pink gerbera daisies, accented by purple wax flowers and blue delphiniums. The honor attendants and bridesmaids wore Victorian lilac strapless A line dresses with lilac underlay and floral appliqués on the skirt of the dress. They carried smaller bouquets very similar to the bride's.

Matron of Honor was Tonya Price, Friend of the Bride and the Maid of Honor was Janene Gahler, Cousin of the Bride. Bridesmaids included Andrea Hayes, Cousin of the Bride, Susie Gahler, Sister-in-Law of the Bride, Melissa Pope, Sister of the Groom, Kelsey Gahler, Cousin of the Bride, and Meghan Routt, Friend of the Bride. Jr. Bridesmaid was Makaila Price, friend of the Bride and the Flower Girl was Christine Bolen, Goddaughter of the Bride.

The Groom wore a Black Western Style Tuxedo with a white vest and tie. His boutonniere was a John Deere Tractor with baby's breath and greenery. The Best Man and Groomsmen wore similar tuxedos with Victorian Lilac vests and ties. Their boutonnieres were either John Deere or Case IH tractors similar to the Groom's.

The Best Man was Todd Kapp, Brother of the Groom. Groomsmen included Brad Schlagheck, Cousin of the Groom, David Gahler, Brother of the Bride, Allen Gahler, Brother of the Bride, Brad Pope, Brother-in-law of the Groom, Ryan Miller, Friend of the Groom, and Andy Wolf, Friend of the Groom. Jr. Groomsmen was Zachary Price, friend of the Bride and the Ring bearer was Seth Pope, Nephew and Godson of the Groom.

Parents of the Bride are Wesley and Judith Gahler of Graytown, OH. Parents of the Groom are Robert E. and Diane Kapp of Curtice, OH.

The Bride is a 2000 graduate of Oak Harbor High School and a 2005 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She is currently employed as a Substitute Teacher. The Groom is a 2001 graduate of Genoa High School, 2003 graduate of Owens Community College and a 2005 graduate of The Ohio State University. He is currently employed as a Marketing Representative by Great Lakes Family Farms. He is also a cash crop farmer with his brother and father and raises beef cattle.

The couple honeymooned in Amish Country in Pennsylvania and Ohio. They currently reside in rural Oak Harbor.
