Willis E. Tasch
July 16, 1930 -February 20, 2010
Willis E. Tasch, 79, of Graytown, OH died suddenly Saturday, February 20, 2010 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon, OH. He was born July 16, 1930 in the Graytown Area to the late Emery and Ella (Foreman) Tasch. On February 9, 1952 he married the former Ann Repka and she survives. Willis worked in the Lumber Yard and made deliveries for Toledo Lumber Company, Mayfair Lumber Company, and retired from Starr Lumber in 1990. His 2nd passion in life was cars. He loved to go to the car auctions and enjoyed helping his son, Bill at his store in Elmore. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Elliston where he served on council and in other capacities. He was a member of the Pontiac Club, Toledo Teamsters, and the Genoa and Elmore Senior Centers. Willis loved his 1968 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible and dogs. You could never slow Willis down and his smile and encouraging words will forever be in the hearts he touched.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years Ann of Graytown; son Bill Tasch of Graytown; sister- in- laws: Mary Ann Partin, Lillian Repka, and Erma Repka; cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Delmer Tasch.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Trinity United Church of Christ with the Rev. Lowell Peters officiating. Burial followed in Elliston Cemetery, Benton Twp.
