Dear Editor,

When taking on a coaching job at OHMS as cheerleading advisor I really wasn't sure what to expect. This past year has went above and beyond everything I had imaged thanks to the 13 student athletes I had the chance to coach, the everlasting supporting parents and school facility.

I would like to take this time to personally and publicly thank all who have supported and cheered on the 2009-2010 Oak Harbor Middle School Cheerleaders. Community Markets for the donation of pop corn during the 2009 football season for our concession stand, also for the great Fun Raiser opportunity " 90 second Shopping Spree".

The Shopping Spree is held at Community Markets in Oak Harbor the winner was Mrs. Allison Wolf and her family who now has the chance to get whatever grocery's in the store they want in 90 seconds FOR FREE due to buying a $5.00 Ticket from the OHMS Cheerleaders, Congratulations and Good Luck! During the 2010 Basketball season we got another great donation, ground beef for selling our walking tacos at the concession stand thank you to Mr. Tim Schimming with Portage Acres with your help walking tacos was a huge hit!! Your support has helped us greatly in this past season.

In February 2010 OHMS Cheerleaders attend Cheer For A Cure 2010, a Competition where all proceeds go toward the American Cancer Society. With the help of our sponsors we donated $700.00 toward the total fund of $27,000.00 raised at this years competition. Huge Thank you to our sponsors TRI MOTORS, DOCTOR RAGOTHAMAN, CHARLES JONES PRODUCE, FRICKER'S, ACE ARCHERY AND BILLIES LAWN CARE LLC.

As to my girls I am so very proud of you all and what you have done this season. From cheering at the games to fund raising, you guys all gave me your 110% every day every time. I wish my 8th grader the best of Luck in High School and can't wait for my 7th grader to return as 8th grader and the new 7th grader coming in who are ready to cheer!!! All the parents you are so helpful and supportive with the cheerleading program at OHMS and your girls.
