Lochotzki earns highest rank
Boy Scout Troop #370 and Scoutmaster Joe Lochotzki are proud to announce that Jacob Lochotzki has earned the highest rank in Scouting, the Eagle Scout Rank. The Carroll Township Trustees sponsor Troop #370.
In order for a Scout to earn the rank of Eagle Scout there are certain requirements that he has to meet. First, a Scout has to earn twenty-one merit badges, twelve of which are set down by the National Office, and nine of his own choosing.
Jake has earned 21 merit badges at this time. The Scout must hold a leadership office in his Troop, Jake has held the following offices: Senior Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Quartermaster, Historian, Patrol Leader, And Assistant Patrol Leader.
He has held these positions at least once, some more than that. The Scout must find a project that benefits his community, his church, or his sponsoring body.
The Scout must get his project approved by the body that it benefits, the District Advancement Committee, and his own Troop. After getting everyone's approval the Scout can start his project. Jake's project was to repair, paint, remove the sod and put soft material around all the playground equipment at Camp Sabroske. Jake had his Troop, friends and family help him on his project.
Jake received donations for his project from Damman Paint in Fremont, Oak Harbor Hardware Store, Tractor Supply Company, Lowe's and Thomas Powell. Thanks to all these fine businesses and people for their help. Jake successfully passed his District Board of Review on January 2, 2010.
A Court of Honor will be convened on March 21, 2010 at 6:30 at the Carroll Township Hall for the presentation of the Eagle Scout Rank to Jacob Lochotzki.
