Green's celebrate 60th anniversary
Vernon and Lela (Prather) Green of Oak Harbor recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary accompanied by their family on a week-long trip to Orlando, Florida.
The trip was hosted by their three children: Patricia Gostanian of Clovis, California; Keith Green and Anita Brower, both of Oak Harbor.
Since Vern and Lela were married January 1, 1949, the family spent New Year's Day 2009 together at the Epcot Center in Disney World with sightseeing and a special anniversary meal in the World Showcase at the Italian pavilion.
Mom and Dad, we wish to thank you for all the sacrifices made in order to raise us and provide the best opportunities possible.
We are successful adults because of the values you instilled and the love you showed to us, and to each other.
